New Food Delights coming for Willowbank Patrons

Willowbank Raceway is making a huge shift in the food and refreshment options available to fans and racers by entering into new facility catering arrangements with the EatDrinks Group. The Group currently provide catering to a number of organisations including Netball Queensland, Western Pride & Brisbane City Football Clubs and conduct the popular Urbane Markets at locations across the city.

Willowbank patrons will now be served a revolving and evolving range of food options by way of a large network of popular “Food Trucks” which will cater Raceway events. EatDrink will be varying the selection of trucks attending each event which will ensure that our patrons have an ever changing menu of meal, snack and treats options.

This flexibility in offering will enable Willowbank Raceway the opportunity to experiment with some new, unique theme nights at some of our Test and Tune events. Think about Asian night where all Asian manufactured cars race for free while a great selection of Asian foods is available. We’re sure an All American night would be popular with a range of delights from the USA.

Our major events will benefit from an Eat Street styled variety of food options with something for everyone attending our events.

The EatDrink Group will begin operations at Round 7 of the QDRC featuring the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars on October 27.

“I think it is fair to say that people today are looking for both high quality and value for money.  As a Board we had the opportunity to try something new to deliver a better overall experience for our fans and racers alike.  We felt that the idea of tailoring high quality food to all of the on track action will add significant value to our fan base and make our events something special” said Willowbank Raceway President Tony Wedlock.

“While we usher in a new era we also want to say thanks to Russell and Gina Cronk of All Crowd Catering who have partnered the raceway for over thirty years. Russell, Gina and their staff have ridden the highs and lows alongside us over the years and we certainly wish them well in the future.” Wedlock added.
