EIGHTH MILE AND NOSTALGIAS DELIVER BUMPER WEEKEND

Willowbank Raceway has hosted a bumper weekend of racing, with round two of the JP Racing Eighth Mile Drag Racing Series hosting a record-breaking 207 entrants before 150 machines of yesteryear hit the track in the hotly-anticipated return of Nostalgia drag racing to the facility.
 
“What a huge weekend we have had here at the Raceway with more than 350 racers across two fantastic events, showcasing the best in eighth mile and nostalgia racing,” said Willowbank Raceway CEO Tony Manson.
 
“The action continues this weekend with the fourth round of our 2015 Street Series, which will see a host of fantastic local racers taking to the track on two and four wheels in pursuit of street-based glory.”
 
In round two of the JP Racing Eighth Mile Drag Racing Series, Jason Loane (FG Loy & Sons Earthmoving Eighth Mile Outlaws), Paul Doeblien (RD Williams Excavator Parts Modified), Allan Grimsey (Ice Slushee Super Sedan), Brett McIlveen (John William Auto Sales Super Street), Dale Neumann (Queensland Namemplate Group Modified Bike) and Caleb Oberg (Diamond T Products Junior Dragster) took home the winners trophies, while Sunday’s Nostalgia racing saw Lana Rice (Aussie Muscle), Michael Cook (Gas), Grant Carpenter (Hot Rod), Neal McLeod (Quick Eliminator), Dale Neumann (Retro Bike), Chris Van’t Hof (Top Eliminator), Benni Dreyer (US Muscle) and Ian Campbell (Vintage Gas) emerging victorious.
