The 11th annual 'Mopar Sunday' is on it's way to Willowbank Raceway!!

The 11th annual ‘Mopar Sunday’ on August 4th at Willowbank raceway, is fast approaching. We are pleased to announce that Mopar Sunday is now proudly presented by Northstar Fiat Chrysler, your Mopar Specialist in Redcliffe. Northstar Fiat Chrysler are passionate about all Mopar's and are very keen to support the event.
One of last years crowd favourites, Christine Steffens will be racing again at Mopar Sunday 2013. As the first and only licensed female Nitro Funny Car driver, she will be racing her supercharged 496 cubic inch, Hemi powered Nitro Funny Car down the strip travelling at over 450kph. Running on Nitro Methane, her wild machine produces between 6000 - 7000 horse power and can reach 400kph in just 200 metres!
Drag Racing
If you're keen on drag racing this year, you can now register online or download entry forms at moparsunday.com. Drag racing is open to all Mopars, old and new, whether they be dedicated drag cars, street machines or stock rides so get out on the strip and have a go! Pre-entry is only $65.00.
For this years Mopar Sunday we are running the popular dial your own time format to even the field with revised brackets of 0 - 10.99, 11 - 12.99, 13 - 14.99 and 15 & over. If you want to get involved and race at this years event, enter now at moparsunday.com.
Dyno
The dyno machine will be running all day, and anyone is more than welcome to test their Mopar and get instant horsepower results. Its only $25 for a dyno pull which is dirt cheap and you may even take home a trophy! Enter at moparsunday.com.
'Show n Shine'
The Mopar Sunday Surf City Garage 'Show n Shine' for 2013 features 22 trophy categories including dedicated Jeep trophies. If you would like to display your Mopar whether it be US, Aussie, classic or modern, just follow the signs to the Queensland Chrysler Association's 'show n shine' area adjacent to the start line. There is no need to pre-register for the show although you can pre-purchase gate tickets at moparsunday.com.
'Show n Shine' entry is free once you’re in the gate and you are also welcome to participate in the show and shine even if you are racing. There are limited entries so make sure you arrive early. The QCA folks will register you on arrival and give you an entrant number. Voting is people’s choice with a final judge decision so make sure you fill out the tear off slip with your favourites and return it to the box provided.
Spectators
Mopar Sunday is an action packed day of drag racing, a dyno shootout, a huge 'show n shine', swap meet, merchandise stands and trade stalls all in one spot. Its the perfect place to check out the racing and show, pick up some memorabilia, find that part you’ve been looking for or just catch up with fellow Mopar enthusiasts.
Spectator tickets are now available online here or by purchase at the gate prior to entering Mopar Sunday.
Don't forget to look out for special giveaways on the day from Northstar and make sure get in the draw to win! Trophy presentations take place just in front of the Mopar Sunday merchandise stand, at around 3.30.
Gates open at 7am for an 8am start and the event winds up at 4pm.
